There are many different tests and procedures that can be done to detect cancer and diagnose it correctly. The following is a list of the most commons tests done.
Endoscopy is a medical procedure done where they use hollow tube-like instruments to see into the body. There are many different tools used in this procedure, all designed to see a different part of the body.
A mammogram is an x-ray exam of the breast that is used to detect breast cancer. It is used to detect breast cancer in people that have symptoms and people that have no symptoms at all.
A biopsy is one of the most common tests used to diagnose breast cancer. This is a procedure where they take a sample of a tissue and do tests on it to see if it has cancerous cells inside it.
There are many other tests that are used to detect breast cancer as well. Some of these include CAT scans, x-rays, and pap smears. Another thing you can do to detect cancer early is to do monthly self-exams, and if you find anything to consult a doctor immediately.
