Gastric Cancer
Gastric Cancer, or in other words stomach cancer, is caused by a type of bacterium called Helicobacter pylori. The Helicobacter pylori very often causes stomach irritation, and can easily lead ulcers, and later on, form Gastric Cancer. Some of the ways you can contract these diseases is by eating heavily salted, smoked, and pickled foods. Keep in mind, that this type of contraction of the Gastric Cancer is rare, and you should not refrain from eating these foods – just eat them in moderation.
Gastric Cancer, as with other cancers, is treated best when caught early. There are many stages of Gastric Cancer, as well as types of. Each kind of cancer will occur within one or more of the five layers of the stomach. Most of the Gastric Cancers contracted start in the mucosa, and grows bigger and deeper. As the Gastric Cancer becomes bigger, the chance for curing a Gastric Cancer gets much worse. So it’s important to be on the lookout for Gastric Cancer, as well as having regular check ups.
The usual symptoms of Gastric Cancer include:
- Lack of appetite and unexplained weight loss
- Abdominal pain
- Heartburn
- Nausea
- Vomiting with blood
- Weakness and fatigue
There are a few kinds of treatments for Gastric Cancer– the
most common was is by radiation
therapy, chemotherapy,
and/or surgery. However, if surgery is chosen, this treatment would
require the removal of the cancer, as the part of the stomach where
the cancer was attached. So this type of Gastric Cancer
treatment should probably be your last resort, as having part
of your stomach removed has undesirable effects upon the body.
